Our History
The Yancey House was purchased in 2009 by Ruth Yancey, a longtime Gwinnett resident and landowner. It was completely renovated and completed in July 2010. This 3 story red brick, sits proudly on 12 beautiful landscaped acres in Grayson, Georgia. Its grand gated entrance welcomes you to come in and explore. A lovely lake with waterfall fountain and dock bid you to come and enjoy a quiet moment, or maybe a photo in one of the 3 swings that are alongside. Mrs. Yancey and her daughter Maria, dream that many weddings and receptions are in the future for the Yancey House. Mrs. Yancey had a romantic wedding gazebo built in the back garden, with a huge lawn area, and lovely landscape courtyard. A winding path connects the areas making it easy access to the separate entrance and parking lot.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is that The Yancey House is the stage on which you create your vision. Our flexibility is our hallmark. We’re happy to recommend, but do not require that you use our Preferred Vendors.
We pride ourselves on offering our clients an affordable and accommodating venue in which to hold your special event. We offer several wedding and event packages in order to accommodate different sized events whenever possible.
